For older industry software without an interface, we check during the initial analysis whether database access or an automated export works. Only then do we commit.
Then the automatic report shows these errors faster and more consistently than the manual one: garbage in means garbage out, and automation does not change that. That is why we check data quality before implementation and tell you honestly whether the source systems need to be cleaned up first. We often build in plausibility checks that flag conspicuous values instead of silently accepting them.

Every statement is placed next to the table it comes from and can be verified in seconds. For decisions, however, the rule still applies: the figures are the source, the plain text is the shortcut.
