Automation · SAP Business One

SAP Business One keeps running, we take over the manual work around it.

NordFlux connects SAP Business One to n8n, Power Automate, and your other systems via the Service Layer and the DI API. Documents, master data, and reports run automatically instead of being exported and retyped by hand. Fully on German servers on request.

The problem

SAP Business One can do a lot, it just rarely talks to the rest on its own.

B1 reliably manages your orders, your warehouse, and your finances. But between B1 and your webshop, CRM, or Excel, someone is still exporting data and typing it back in.

  • 01Figures for reporting are exported via Crystal Report and pieced together by hand in Excel.
  • 02Orders from the webshop and inquiries from the CRM end up duplicated: once there, once as a document in B1.
  • 03There's no ready-made standard connector for SAP Business One, every connection feels like a custom build.
  • 04Reports are outdated as soon as they're finished, because someone has to pull them manually.
Use cases
01

What we automate around SAP Business One.

Five processes that repeatedly cost manual work in B1 operations. Your combination looks different? That's exactly what the initial analysis is for.

01

Document flow from order to invoice

A confirmed order automatically generates an order, delivery, and outgoing invoice in SAP Business One, via the Service Layer and document copy templates. Your team reviews and approves instead of recording every document from scratch.

Savings 3–6 h per week
02

Sales and finance reporting without manual extracts

Instead of exporting a Crystal Report every morning, we pull the figures directly from B1 and provide them as a daily dashboard or PDF. The report is up to date when you open it, not only once someone has pulled it.

Impact Always current figures
03

Keeping business partners and items in sync

New customers from the CRM and items from the webshop are automatically created and updated as business partners and item master data in B1. One data set instead of three lists drifting apart.

Impact One data set for everyone
04

Reviewing and approving incoming invoices

Incoming invoices are matched against the purchase order and goods receipt in B1 and routed into an approval workflow. Discrepancies surface before payment, not after.

Savings Less rework in purchasing
05

Mirroring stock and prices to the webshop

Stock levels and prices from B1 flow automatically into your webshop, orders come back to B1 as documents. You no longer sell items that are long gone from the warehouse.

Impact No manual transferring
Solution paths

Connecting SAP Business One: three paths, one goal.

Which path fits depends on whether B1 runs on-premises or hosted for you, and how deep the automation needs to go. We only commit after the analysis, not before.

Service Layer (REST)
n8n

Talks to the SAP Business One Service Layer directly via REST and reacts in real time to new documents. Can run self-hosted on German servers on request, your data stays with you.

Microsoft world
Power Automate

If you work with Microsoft 365, we connect B1 to the Service Layer via a dedicated connector, or via the on-premises data gateway for a locally run B1. Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint then tie into your SAP data.

No open interface
UiPath

Where only the B1 client or the DI API remains, a UiPath robot takes over the interface: logging in, entering, checking, logging. This gets even processes online for which there's no clean API path.

How we work

The 30-day model.

From the first analysis to a running connection in 30 days, at a fixed price instead of an open timesheet.

1

Initial analysis

60 minutes, free and non-binding. We look at your B1 version, the existing interfaces, and the process that costs the most manual work.

2

Concept and fixed price

You get a concrete proposal: which process we automate via which path, which licenses are affected, and what it costs. We only start once that fits.

3

Implementation in a test tenant

We build the connection against a test tenant first and check it with your real documents. Your production system stays untouched until everything runs cleanly.

4

Handover and operation

You receive documentation and monitoring that alerts you when a transfer gets stuck. You keep control, with SLA-based support on request or entirely without us.

More than SAP Business One

B1 is rarely the only system in the house.

If your webshop, CRM, or industry software also feed data alongside SAP Business One, it's worth looking at the whole interface landscape. Our overview on interface integration shows how we connect systems beyond B1.

Which B1 process costs you the most time every week?

In the free initial analysis, we work through this together: 60 minutes, non-binding. Afterward you'll see in black and white which connection pays off first.

  • Fixed price instead of an open timesheet
  • SAP Business One stays as it is
  • Operation on German servers possible
Frequently asked questions
05

What companies often ask about SAP Business One automation.

Does SAP Business One even have an interface for automation?

Yes, SAP Business One comes with the Service Layer, a modern REST interface, and the DI API, a programmable interface. The Service Layer lets you create and read documents, business partners, and items without operating the B1 interface. Which path fits your process depends on your B1 version and your operating model.

Is there a ready-made Power Automate connector for SAP Business One?

There's no standard connector specifically for SAP Business One in Power Automate, the existing SAP connectors target SAP ECC and S/4HANA. For B1 we connect the Service Layer via a custom connector or HTTP calls, or alternatively via n8n. The result is the same: your flows talk to B1 without anyone operating the interface.

Do we need to switch or upgrade SAP Business One for this?

No, the automation builds on your existing SAP Business One. We build the connection to what you use today instead of selling you a new system. A version change is only needed if your B1 version doesn't yet include the Service Layer, and we tell you that beforehand.

Do we need additional SAP licenses for the automation?

That depends on the process and needs to be on the table before we build anything. Automated access can touch SAP licensing questions, keyword indirect use, so we clarify affected licenses in the concept phase, not afterward. That way there are no nasty surprises with the connection.

How long does a connection to SAP Business One take?

We typically implement a connection in two to four weeks, the whole project runs according to our 30-day model. We build against a test tenant first and only go live once the transfer runs cleanly with your real documents. Complex landscapes with multiple systems take longer, and we tell you that before the start.
