Businesses based in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern have several state programs to choose from in 2026: the AI Funding MV with 50 percent up to 50,000 euros, the Training Voucher MV for further training, and the innovation consulting of the TBI. The problem

The programs exist, but no one has time to understand them.

Many businesses in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern know that grants exist, and still do not apply. The guidelines are long, responsibilities are scattered, and anyone who applies too late gets nothing.

  • 01Funding databases list programs that expired long ago: anyone relying on outdated information plans with money that no longer exists.
  • 02The application must be submitted before the project starts. Anyone who signs the contract first and asks later has lost the grant.
  • 03Every program has its own limits: number of employees, minimum volume, industry rules. Whether your own business qualifies is nowhere clear at a glance.
  • 04Between TBI, GSA, LFI and advisory bodies, it is unclear who is actually responsible and where the application belongs.

AI Funding MV: 50% for AI adoption

The AI Funding MV pays SMEs in the commercial sector with up to 100 employees and a business location in the state a 50 percent grant, up to a maximum of 50,000 euros, for hardware and software for AI adoption. Consulting and training of multipliers count only as accompanying services. The project needs at least 15,000 euros in expenses, over 50 employees 20,000 euros. The directive has applied since 30.06.2026, and approval is granted via the TBI in Schwerin.

Training Voucher MV: 50% on further training

With the Training Voucher for businesses, the GSA Schwerin covers 50 percent of course costs, up to a maximum of 3,000 euros per voucher, from 300 euros in expenses. The application must be submitted before the start, i.e. before the contract, registration, invoice or payment. Excluded are, among others, product training, legally required further training and liberal professions such as doctors, lawyers or tax advisors, and the administrative regulation expires on 31.12.2026. We check with you in the initial consultation whether your AI training with us qualifies.

FuEuI Directive: innovation consulting via the TBI

What is colloquially called TBI funding is the state's FuEuI directive. Under its Innovation Consulting Services module, the service provider submits the application, at least 14 days before the start, and passes the grant on to your business as a price discount. To do so, they must prove their qualification; the TBI does not state a funding rate on its program page. We clarify in the initial consultation whether we can go this route with you. The directive applies until 30.06.2027.

Funding check instead of funding frustration

In the funding check, you answer six questions and immediately see which programs qualify, each with a link to the approval authority. In the initial consultation, we then check company size, project volume, deadlines and application route and tell you honestly what is realistic. We will not sugarcoat expired programs such as DigiTrans or go-digital.

Good to know: BAFA and INQA

The BAFA funding for business consulting covers 80 percent of up to 3,500 euros per consultation in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and the directive expires on 31.12.2026. Our BAFA listing is in preparation; we cannot currently offer BAFA-funded consulting. The federal INQA coaching runs exclusively through authorized INQA coaches. We are not an authorized INQA coach.

How a funded project proceeds.

As always with NordFlux, at a fixed price. The difference from the normal 30-day model: between the offer and the start lies the funding application, because it must go out before the project starts.

Initial consultation with funding check

In 30 minutes, we clarify the use case and funding pot: what brings the greatest leverage, which program fits the size and volume of your business. Free and non-binding.

Fixed-price offer as the basis for the application

You receive a clearly described offer with a fixed price. It is suitable directly as documentation for the funding application; it is only signed after the application, so the incentive effect is preserved.

Submit application, await approval

The application goes to the responsible body before the project starts, for example the TBI in Schwerin or the GSA. We supply the technical documents and only start once you have the green light.

Implementation in 30 days

After approval, we build the first digital employee productively within 30 days, with training and handover. You retain control, and the receipts for the proof of use are generated cleanly.

What MV businesses often ask about funding.

What funding is available for digitalization in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern?

Three state programs are currently open in particular: AI funding MV (50 percent, up to €50,000, since June 30, 2026), the Bildungsscheck MV for further training (50 percent, up to €3,000 per voucher, until December 31, 2026) and the FuEuI guideline with the innovation advisory services module (until June 30, 2027). Nationally, there is also the BAFA consulting subsidy, which is 80 percent in MV. Our BAFA listing is in preparation, so we cannot currently offer subsidized BAFA consulting. The former state program DigiTrans has expired.

When does AI funding MV apply, and when does the FuEuI guideline?

AI funding MV applies if your business introduces AI with hardware or software: a 50 percent grant of up to €50,000 for businesses with up to 100 employees and from €15,000 in expenses, or from €20,000 for businesses with more than 50 employees. The innovation advisory services under the FuEuI guideline, by contrast, fund consulting. The application is submitted by the service provider, which passes the grant on as a price reduction. Which route fits your project is something we will clarify in the free initial consultation.

What is TBI funding?

Strictly speaking, TBI is not a program but the approval body: TBI Technologie-Beratungs-Institut GmbH in Schwerin. It approves the state's technology and innovation funding under the FuEuI guideline, including the innovation advisory services, as well as the new AI funding MV. When people say TBI funding, they usually mean one of these two programs.

Is NordFlux a listed BAFA consultant?

NordFlux is not listed in the BAFA consultant directory, so consulting by us is not eligible under this program. If you wish to use the grant, you would need to engage a registered consulting company. Our BAFA listing is in preparation, so we cannot currently offer subsidized BAFA consulting. For AI funding MV, your business submits the application itself, and no consultant listing is required. In the initial consultation we will tell you specifically which application route we can already take with you today.

Does the funding application really have to be submitted before the project starts?

Yes, without exception. All of the programs mentioned apply the incentive effect principle: anyone who signs a supply or service contract before approval, or before the application is submitted, forfeits their entitlement. Obtaining quotes and planning are permitted, but signing is not. That is why our fixed-price offer is structured so that it can be used directly as application documentation.

Is there funding in MV for AI training?

For further training, there is the Bildungsscheck MV for businesses: 50 percent of course costs, up to €3,000 per voucher, from €300 in expenses. You submit the application to GSA Schwerin before the start, and the administrative regulation expires on December 31, 2026. Product training is excluded, and whether an AI training course with us is eligible is something we will check with you in the initial consultation.
