The new AI Funding MV pays commercial SMEs with up to 100 employees and a business location in the state a 50 percent grant, up to a maximum of 50.000 euros, for hardware and software for AI adoption including accompanying consulting and training. The guideline has been in force since 30.06.2026, and approval runs through TBI GmbH in Schwerin.
Grant up to 50.000 € per projectWhat is colloquially called TBI funding is the state's FuEuI guideline. Its Innovation Consulting Services module funds consulting on the introduction of innovative, including digital, technologies with 50 percent, up to 200.000 euros over three years. Important: grants under 15.000 euros are not approved, so the program only fits from around 30.000 euros in project volume. The guideline runs until 30.06.2027.
Grant 50% for larger projectsBAFA funding for business consulting covers 80 percent of a maximum of 3.500 euros in consulting costs per consultation in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, so up to 2.800 euros in grants. Conceptual consulting is funded, for example a digitalization or AI strategy. The current guideline expires on 31.12.2026, so anyone wanting to use it should start this year.
Grant up to 2.800 € per consultationThe federal INQA Coaching program funds up to twelve days of consulting by authorized INQA coaches at 80 percent, when it concerns personnel and organizational changes due to digitalization or AI. Entry runs through a free initial advisory point. We assess whether your project fits, and take over the technical implementation after the coaching.

The former state program DigiTrans has expired.
AI Funding MV fits manageable adoption projects up to 100.000 euros in volume: a 50 percent grant, capped at 50.000 euros, for businesses with up to 100 employees. The FuEuI guideline applies to larger innovation consulting projects from around 30.000 euros in project volume and reaches up to 200.000 euros in grants over three years. Strictly speaking, TBI is not a program but the approval authority: TBI Technologie-Beratungs-Institut GmbH in Schwerin. It approves the state's technology and innovation funding under the FuEuI guideline, including Innovation Consulting Services with a 50 percent grant, as well as the new AI Funding MV. Anyone who says TBI funding usually means one of these two programs.
Our BAFA listing is in preparation but not yet complete, and we would rather say so honestly than advertise with borrowed credentials. For the TBI GmbH programs, no consultant listing is required; there, proven qualification counts through references and certificates.
