A guest at netunity: on alliances and real collaboration

An invitation from Tim Voigt brought me to a netunity event as a guest. Here is what I took away about alliances, the northern German scene, and the value of real collaboration.

A door someone held open

In my case that was Tim Voigt, who invited me as a guest to a netunity event via a Green Card. So I was there not as a member but as a guest. And that is exactly what made the evening special for me, because as a guest you go in without preconceptions and simply listen.

Where it took place

The whole thing was hosted in the offices of the agency h2f, which also helps shape the nÖRD. The venue alone showed how closely the northern German digital and creative scene is connected. You sit together, and suddenly all the threads between agencies, conferences, and companies tie into one another.

What it was about

In terms of content, the evening revolved around the alliance itself: how do you keep working together meaningfully as a group, how does a network like this stay alive and useful for everyone involved. These are questions I know from my own work, just on a larger scale.

What I take away

For me as a guest, the biggest gain was simply this: the people. I got to meet fascinating business people from very different backgrounds, people I would not have come across in my everyday work. Encounters like these often spark the projects no one had on their radar before.

And it fits my conviction: no one gets far on their own. I am deliberately building NordFlux as a reliable point of contact with a strong network behind it. Evenings like this one are a reminder that collaboration is not a nice extra, but the real engine.
